On graduating I also took up a role provide pitchside care for the academy at Heart of Midlothian Football Club. After a few months I was promoted to the role of Lead Academy Physiotherapist; this involved running clinics three nights a week for players aged 11-17 and managing a team of 12 match day cover staff. It was here that my interest in the young and growing athlete developed. I held my position at Hearts for 4 years, developing my assessment and diagnosis skills for football related injuries but also improving my end stage and football specific rehabilitation. I gave up this post on becoming part of the team at FASIC. Currently, I still work within NHS Lothian as a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist and work with Heriots Rugby Club.
