Refurbishment and upgrade work in the Sports Hall Lobby/Toilet area at the Pleasance Sport Complex and Gym will start on Monday 12 February. Refurbished and upgraded The work will see two new communal changing rooms created. These will operate as team changing rooms offering sport clubs and teams using the Sports Hall for training a convenient changing area. Seven individual gender neutral toilets and a DDA compliant toilet will also be added as part of the upgrade. Activity in the Sports Hall will not be impacted but the lobby and toilets will be closed for the duration of the works. This means that the entrance to the Sports Hall through the lobby via the stairwell next to the Sports Hall Balcony and Climbing Wall will be closed. Alternative arrangements Access to the Sports Hall will be available via the Pleasance Extension stairwell (used to access the archery and rifle ranges, Performance Gym and Vaults) or via the stairwell at the far end of the Sports Hall. Directional signage will be displayed to assist members/users. Sports Hall and Climbing Wall users should use alternative toilet facilities in other parts of the building. Schedule of works Work will start on Monday 12 February and is expected to be completed in early-to-mid June 2024.
