During my time at the NHS, I was team physiotherapist for U19 and Development teams for Scottish Netball and hung up my own boots from an 8 year international netball playing career. I then moved to Australia for 6 years to work in a private sports and spinal injuries clinic, helping recreational/club to high performance athletes return from injury. I also gained valuable experience in occupational health rehabilitation, widespread and chronic pain and osteoarthritis alongside load management, strength and conditioning and clinical pilates. On returning to Scotland 5 years ago, I started working in FASIC and took on the roles of team physiotherapist for Scottish Volleyball U20 mens team and Spartans Womens football team. I have recently returned to the NHS, working in GP practices as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner. I personally enjoy yoga and netball and watching my own kids get involved in sports. I also attempt to bash on some piano keys from time to time. This article was published on 2024-05-13
