UK Healthy Universities Network   

The UK Healthy Universities Network supports its members to develop and implement ‘whole university’ approaches to health, wellbeing and sustainability.

British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS)

The University of Edinburgh is represented on the BUCS UK Physical Activity and Health Board through the Active Lives Team – a key body in developing support for all universities across the UK to promote physical activity and health.

SAMH/Jog Scotland 

In 2017 Jog Scotland and SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) joined forces because both recognise that being active can be a means to achieve not just physical wellbeing, but also mental wellbeing. The University has its own Jog Scotland website too. 

Paths for All

Their aim is to increase the number of people who choose to walk in Scotland - whether that's leisure walking or active-choice walking to work, school or shops.

Scottish Collaboration of Public Health Research and Policy (SPHRP)

SCPHRP’s work spans across a wide breadth or public health topics such as physical activity, diet and mental health and explores health across the life course. It is co-funded by The Medical Research Council (MRC) and the Chief Scientist Office (CSO), and based within the University of Edinburgh.

Cycling Scotland

Cycling Scotland is the nation’s cycling organisation. Working with others, they help create and deliver opportunities and an environment so anyone anywhere in Scotland can cycle easily and safely.
