These videos will introduce some of the basic building blocks of Pilates - an ideal form of exercise at home. The Pilates method is based on the classical exercises of Joseph Pilates and the key element is developing "awareness of your own body." Each and every exercise is based around its eight principles - relaxation, concentration, alignment, breathing, centring, co-ordination, flowing movement and stamina. The exercises we will cover are the basic building blocks for some of the more advanced work and are therefore suitable for anyone injury free. All you need is a mat or large towel, a small head cushion and a bit of space around you.
