The University’s Women's Hockey Team (EUWHC) claimed victory in the EuroHockey Club Challenge I on home turf at Peffermill. Image Following a 3-0 victory over HC Metrostroy, of Russia, in their first group match on Friday and draws with Welsh team Swansea City HC (1-1) and the Swiss HC Rotweiss Wettingen (0-0) over the weekend, EUWHC faced fellow Scottish Team, Clydesdale Western HC, in the final on Monday afternoon. In a tight fought contest the University team came out on top, winning 1 – 0. The victory combined with their Scottish Cup win earlier this season means they will compete in the EuroHockey Club Trophy next season. We are delighted with another successful EuroHockey campaign, especially being on home turf at Peffermill. The team has worked exceptionally hard all season and this success combined with another domestic treble really makes all that work worthwhile. We'd like to thank all the fans that came along to support us over the weekend and all our partners and sponsors who make our success possible. Sam JudgeHead of Performance Hockey (Women) The European victory follows the teams domestic treble success this season and last.
