In recent years we have hosted (amongst many others); the Scottish Institute of Sport, GB Diving, Edinburgh Rugby (and visiting opponents), the All Blacks, the Fiji, Portugal and Australian Rugby teams, the Scotland Men’s & Women’s Hockey, Canada Diving, Japanese Olympic Golf Team, Switzerland Women’s Football, the Edinburgh International Swim Meet, Touch Rugby World Cup, Lacrosse U19 World Championships, and Team GB Volleyball Olympic warm-up fixtures.

Our facility portfolio includes;

  • The world-class Pleasance Sports Complex & Gym with a dedicated high-performance gym and Sport & Exercise Medicine Centre
  • The 27 acre Peffermill Playing Fields site offering some of the finest grass, 3G and Hockey pitches in Scotland, as well as conference and meeting facilities
  • Swimming pool (25m), Games Hall, Studio Spaces and Free Weights Gym at St Leonard's Land
  • Our dedicated, full residential, Outdoor Centre on the banks of Loch Tay, Firbush

Conferences and Accommodation

We have a range of flexible meeting spaces across our facilities at the Pleasance Sports Complex and Gym and Peffermill Playing Fields. Our dedicated events team will help you every step of the way to ensure you and your guests have the best possible experience. All our meeting room packages included access to free WiFi and our AV and PA systems. We can also assist with booking of larger University venues.

Our world-class sports facilities are surrounded by a range of accommodation options owned by the University and all within easy walking distance. The Scott & The Scholar hotels are located in the leafy Southside of Edinburgh, in the beautiful grounds of the Pollock Estate and a 20-minute walk from the Old Town. The KM Hotel & KM Apartments, offer modern accommodation in an enviable central location ideal for accessing all our sport facilities.
