The Edinburgh International Swim Meet (EISM) returns to the Royal Commonwealth Pool 10-12 March. The University of Edinburgh Sport will once again be lead sponsor and many of its swimmers will be competing in this highlight of the Scottish swimming calendar. Run by East District Swimming, the event will bring international and local swimming stars to the heart of Edinburgh. Among those set to take part are University swimmers Calum Tait, Commonwealth bronze medallist Corrie Scott and Nicholas Quinn, who returns after reaching the Rio Olympics for Ireland. They will join the likes of Danish Olympic Champion Pernille Blume, compratriot and World Record holder Rikke Moller Peddersen and Swedish World Champion Jennie Johansson. This will be Elite Performance Swim Coach Shannon Rollason's first EISM experience and he joins us after successful tenures at the Australian Institute of Sport as Head Coach and with the Danish team in the same position. Seeing our world-class swimmers compete on the international stage will obviously be a highlight. I really enjoyed my time with the Danish team so it will be good to catch up with them too. The Programme here also matches anywhere I’ve worked before so it will be great to see the hard work put into practice in a high-profile competition. Shannon RollasonElite Performance Swim Coach Shannon has been working with Head of Performance Swimming Chris Jones and the rest of the team to prepare the athletes for what is sure to be an exciting and competitive weekend of swimming.
